Zende and Ivy deal with feelings and change

Zende and Ivy deal with feelings and change

Monday, November 23, 2015

At the mansion, Nicole's face was tilted up as she opened the front door for Zende. She shook it off when he entered without kissing her. Zende had just gotten back from his first business trip, and it was the first time he'd seen her pregnant. Nicole asked if there had been a change, and he replied that she didn't look any different. "I mean in you," Nicole said.

Zende was surprised that the pregnancy had happened on the first try. Nicole asked if he felt different about her or wished she wasn't pregnant. "Of course I do," Zende replied. He wanted to always be honest with her, and he was still wrapping his head around it.

Zende wanted to be together and grow together. He felt they couldn't do it because Nicole had a new priority. Zende knew that he sounded selfish, but he wanted Nicole all to himself. He said they were just beginning, but their relationship was no longer top priority.

Zende hadn't meant to weigh Nicole down. He asked how she was feeling. Nicole didn't feel any different, but she'd gained an awareness of a life that wasn't her own. She said she did what she'd done when she'd been independent, but suddenly, she wasn't responsible for just herself. There was a life growing within her, and it changed her perspective on things. She asked if it changed Zende's.

Zende didn't want to compete with the baby, who should be number one. He wanted Nicole to be proud of the amazing thing she was doing. She replied that it was only amazing because she had his support. She noted that they hadn't seen each other in days, and he hadn't kissed her. She didn't feel attractive to Zende and asked if her pregnancy grossed him out.

Zende asked if it was because he hadn't grabbed Nicole when he'd walked in the door. He explained that he'd been going through something, and she'd known how he'd felt about the surrogacy. He claimed he'd do his best, but he wasn't running for the hills. For Nicole, her question remained unanswered. She asked if he still felt the same way about her or still wanted her. Zende kissed Nicole.

In the CEO's office, Wyatt and Quinn sat with Steffy to discuss the San Francisco meeting. Quinn immediately noticed Steffy's engagement ring. Steffy fanned her hand out for them, and Wyatt joked that he couldn't leave her alone for even one night. He stated that Liam was a lucky guy. Steffy asked if Wyatt had seen Ivy since his return. Wyatt hadn't, but he couldn't wait to do so.

Quinn wanted to show Ivy the sample stones from the meeting, but Wyatt said he had some catching up to do with Ivy first. Steffy asked how Ivy had been the previous night. Wyatt described Ivy as preoccupied, but he assumed that he had caught her in the middle of working.

Steffy asked if Ivy had been at the office, but Wyatt said Ivy had been at the mansion. After an awkward pause, Wyatt added that Ivy lived there with Rick, Eric, Maya, and Nicole. Quinn tacked Thomas' name onto the list and remarked that Thomas had a wandering eye. She was sure Steffy had noticed it. Steffy claimed not to get involved her in brother's personal life.

Wyatt wanted to change the subject. Quinn said Steffy was being smart because being involved would take up a considerable amount of Steffy's time. Wyatt decided it was time for him to take off.

In the design room, Ivy flashed back to her night with Thomas. From the door, Thomas said he was thinking of it, too. Ivy asked him if he needed something. Replying that he did, he entered and kissed her. Ivy pulled away. She said that the previous night had been "so good, but..."

"Incomplete," Thomas finished for Ivy. She wondered why guys always wanted more. He said kissing was like taking just one lick of an ice cream cone. He asked if she really didn't want any more. Ivy thought it had been fun, but it shouldn't have happened. He replied that it should happen again and again. Ivy stated that she had a boyfriend. Thomas said it was he. "Not you. Wyatt," Ivy corrected.

Ivy said that the previous night, she'd been unlike herself, and she hadn't done things like that ever in her life. She thanked Thomas for not pushing things to the next level. He asked if she'd wanted him to. She said she hadn't, and he guessed he got a gold star for being a gentleman. Ivy felt as if she'd done something terribly wrong -- but "so right" at the same time.

Thomas said she was correct about half of it. He felt they'd needed it. Ivy asked what she'd tell her boyfriend. He didn't know why she'd say anything. She asked if he'd heard of honesty. Thomas replied that it got one into trouble. Ivy countered that it got one out of trouble. She decided to say it had been just a few kisses. Thomas added, for honesty's sake, that they had been hot kisses.

Thomas asked if Ivy believed in serendipity and asked what the experience had taught her. Ivy claimed she'd learned, in retrospect, that she'd really missed Wyatt. In Thomas' retrospect, he felt they shouldn't have stopped. She responded that it would have been disastrous. He stated that if they'd done it, they'd still be in bed.

Thomas invited Ivy to return to the house to sort things out. He said she could tell Wyatt she was helping prep for the holiday. "Lie to him again?" Ivy asked. Thomas claimed that they could do things in the kitchen. He wanted a repeat of the previous night. Ivy said it couldn't happen. He asserted that it could, and it would.

Wyatt entered, and Ivy greeted him with a kiss. Thomas asked how the trip had been, but Wyatt said to excuse him because he was kissing his girl. Kissing Ivy more, Wyatt said that the trip had been amazing. He hoped Ivy had finished all her work because he had big plans for them that night.

Thomas claimed that he and Ivy were in the middle of work. Wyatt said he'd wait, but Thomas claimed they had to accessorize ten dresses. Ivy asked Wyatt to tell her about the trip and gemstones. Wyatt planned to tell her all about it that evening and asked how her night at the mansion had been.

"Just the usual," Ivy replied in a meek tone. Wyatt said snuggling alone wasn't fun. Thomas called it character building and suggested that Wyatt try it. With a dismissive glare at Thomas, Wyatt promised to make it up to Ivy that night.

Steffy messaged Wyatt, and he left to see what she needed.

Back in the CEO's office, Steffy approved the gems with Wyatt. She asked what he was doing that evening. Wyatt said he was hanging out with "the lady." He thought Ivy really needed it and wished he'd taken her on the trip. Ivy wasn't acting herself, but he planned to fix it that night. Steffy said to let Ivy know what she meant to him.

Back in the design office, Thomas told Ivy that there was no ring and no guilt. He advised that she let it play out. Ivy claimed not to know what that even meant. He told her that she was a free agent and should listen to the offers. She asked what he was offering her. He stated that they'd had a great time the night before, and she should just do what she wanted to do, not what she was supposed to do.

Ivy didn't know what she wanted to do anymore, and it was because of Thomas. He told her to figure it out. She assumed that meant spending more time with him and asked what it would lead to. He guessed it would be self-realization. Thomas asked if she'd go home with Wyatt and think about Thomas or go home with Thomas and -- "Think about Wyatt," Ivy finished for Thomas.

Thomas doubted it would happen. Ivy couldn't believe she was considering it. She loved Wyatt and wondered what she was doing. Thomas claimed to be crazy about Ivy because she was a lady to whom "this" was all new. He said she wasn't committed, and it was the right time to be a little crazy.

Ivy didn't know and had never been attracted to two people. It didn't feel like her. Thomas insisted that it was, and the answer was as simple as what she wanted. "What do you want, Ivy?" he asked and gave her a long kiss.

Forrester family plans Thanksgiving dinner

Forrester family plans Thanksgiving dinner

At the Forrester mansion, Eric and Brooke discussed plans for the Thanksgiving dinner over pie. Maya and Rick joined them and teased that the pie was for Thanksgiving. "Whatever Eric wants, Eric gets," Maya said. They all laughed.

Brooke offered to help with seating arrangements, but she said it was all up to Maya, who was the hostess. Maya said she would leave seating to Brooke. "Then I can blame it on you," Maya joked. Eric agreed that "It's Brooke's fault" was the family motto. Eric and Brooke wondered what Maya's parents had planned for the holiday. Brooke noted that Maya's parents were welcome at the Forrester gathering.

Maya said she had planned to visit her parents to find out what they wanted to do. She planned to offer her mother some money. Maya left. Rick said he often wondered how he could make Maya's life better. However, he admitted, "I can't fix this," in reference to her family.

Eric, Brooke, and Rick discussed that Hope and Bridget would not attend the holiday dinner. Rick said he understood because he remembered being away from home and thinking that he would return the next year, but he worried that such plans might not be in the offing for Maya's family.

Eric stared at a photo of Stephanie. He remarked that it had been three years since she had died. Rick offered to put Stephanie's portrait back up on the wall for the day. Eric refused. He said it was a "fine likeness of Stephanie," but he remembered many years that they "weren't even speaking." Brooke noted that sometimes that was how families worked.

In the motel room in Los Angeles, Julius and Vivienne looked through the newspaper for Thanksgiving dinners that included "all the trimmings." Julius suggested Vivienne look up restaurant reviews on her phone, but Vivienne had trouble connecting to the Internet. Julius wondered if Vivienne wanted to ask about Internet access, but she answered that she wasn't in the mood.

Talk turned to calling Vivienne's sister, but Julius joked that her sister had never liked him and had wanted her to marry someone else. "Everything wrong in the world is my fault," Julius said, but Vivienne argued that he was "the most wonderful husband I ever had." Julius joked that a lot of men had been after Vivienne when Julius' back had been turned. Vivienne agreed, and they shared some laughs over the men who had pursued her.

Maya knocked on the door and entered. Julius asked if Nicole was all right. Maya was surprised, and Vivienne apologized for a previous phone call that had not gone well when they had been worried about Nicole being a surrogate for Maya and Rick's baby. Vivienne and Maya agreed they should avoid discussion of the surrogacy.

Maya said that she had learned that her parents would not be spending the holiday with her aunt. Vivienne made excuses and offered to get Maya something to drink. While Vivienne fumbled for a beverage, Maya slipped a wad of cash into Vivienne's purse.

Maya asked about her parents' plans, and Vivienne said Julius was job hunting. They discussed previous holidays, but the memories seemed to focus on poison ivy and other events. Julius wondered if Maya had scars from the poison ivy, and she didn't. He said he had done something right.

Talk turned to looking at life with happy memories. Julius pointed out that he and Vivienne had tried their best, but Maya reminded them that she had been an unhappy child. She paused and said, "We need to make some new memories."

Vivienne agreed and said that was why she and Julius wanted to stay in Los Angles. Maya invited them to the Forrester mansion for Thanksgiving dinner. Maya left, and Vivienne reveled in the fact that they could spend Thanksgiving dinner with their children. She caressed his face.

At Forrester, in Steffy's office, Thomas and Steffy discussed one of Thomas' designs, but Steffy wasn't going to fall for Thomas' trying to get her to sell it to their dad. Steffy challenged Thomas to tell her that he had made good on his bet from the previous evening. Thomas was silent.

Steffy scoffed that Thomas had been wrong about Ivy, but Thomas insisted he would not give up. Steffy had faith in Ivy.

At Wyatt's, Ivy and Wyatt prepared dinner. Wyatt lamented that he had left her alone the previous night. He planned to make up for it with dinner. He said he liked returning home to her.

Wyatt wondered if Ivy had hung out with all the Forresters while he was gone, but she explained that most of them had gone to a gala. He wondered if she had been alone, but she added that Thomas had been at the Forrester mansion. He inquired if it had been an uneventful night, and she said there had been a storm. He asked if she had been alone and scared in her room, but she deflected the question and kissed him.

Ivy flashed back to making out with Thomas. She told Wyatt she needed a night alone with him. Wyatt went to the kitchen to get pie for dessert, and Ivy received a text message from Thomas that he was alone and still at work. Wyatt told her no one else could have her time that evening, but she lied and said she had to return to work to take care of something she had forgotten. Wyatt was disappointed.

At Forrester, Thomas unplugged his computer and packed up his stuff. Ivy walked in. "Are we alone?" she asked. Thomas wanted to kiss her, but she said she couldn't stay. "This is done, Thomas. We are done," she said.

Ivy explained that she was in love with a wonderful guy who treated her well and had great qualities. She confessed that if Wyatt asked her to move in with him, she would. She said she had to return to her real life. Thomas said he would see her for Thanksgiving. She left.

At the Forrester mansion, Eric looked at photos of himself with Stephanie that dated back decades. He wished her a happy Thanksgiving. Brooke entered and said that she had put all the place cards on the table, and Hope would be proud.

Brooke and Eric overheard Pam yelling at everyone to get out of the kitchen. Charlie shooed Zende, Nicole, Rick, Maya, Ivy, and Wyatt into the living room and explained to Brooke and Eric that Pam was having a fit.

Caroline and Ridge entered, followed by Steffy and Liam. Ridge and Eric huddled alone for a moment. "Mom would have loved this," Ridge said to his father. Eric wondered if Ridge was prepared to "jump back into fatherhood." "Absolutely," Ridge said. Zende joined them and said his parents sent their love.

In the living room, Ivy and Wyatt joined Steffy and Liam. Ivy complimented Steffy's ring. Quinn and Deacon entered, and Quinn insisted that Wyatt try her yam casserole because it was his favorite. Julius and Vivienne Avant entered, and Nicole and Maya greeted them. Vivienne had a casserole of twice-baked potatoes and noted that Nicole was eating for two, so she could have plenty.

In the front hall, the Forresters and Spencers had an indoor game of football started, and it moved outside. Later, all the men returned, and Katie assumed the Spencers had won. Bill said they had "kicked butt."

In the kitchen, Charlie helped Pam. Charlie had a gadget to figure out when to baste the turkey, but Pam ordered him to just baste it. Later, Katie and Brooke joined Pam along with Vivienne. Brooke and Katie left, and Pam noted that the Logans were no help at all.

In the living room, Quinn chatted with Ivy, and Thomas interrupted and said Ivy was gorgeous. Pam and Charlie called the family into the dining room. Before they left the living room, Caroline told Ridge she wanted a photo to send to her mothers. Thomas offered to take the photo, and he did.

Caroline encouraged Ridge to be nice to Thomas. She reminded him they were having a baby. She told him he was the kindest, sweetest, most loving man ever. "I am?" Ridge asked. He smiled, and they kissed.

Everyone was seated, and Eric announced that Thanksgiving was a symbol of thanks and a tradition of celebrating freedom. He noted that the tradition Hope had started years before would continue with each person expressing a heartfelt compliment to the person on their right.

Eric turned to Thomas and said that he was glad Thomas had returned for the company and also for his father. Eric said he knew that Ridge was glad to have Steffy and Thomas back at home and at work with him. Thomas thanked his grandfather. Thomas looked at Caroline and said that he was glad that Caroline and Ridge were bringing a child into the world.

Caroline turned to Ridge and said that the Forrester family had expanded beyond the traditional family. She had grown up with two moms and looked around the table at a loving and caring family. She told Ridge that he would be an amazing father, and they embraced.

Ridge looked at Steffy and told her she was independent, opinionated, and cutthroat, and he loved her. He told Liam that he was happy for them, and he advised Liam to take care of her.

Steffy looked at Liam and thanked him for giving them another chance. "I love you, my fiancé," she said, and they kissed. Liam looked at his dad and thanked him for all his love and support and a vote of confidence in everything he had done.

Bill turned to Katie. "My Katie, I'm so lucky to have you sitting next to me again this year," he said. Katie agreed he was the luckiest man in the world, and she laughed. They kissed.

Katie looked at Vivienne and admitted they didn't know each other well, but Vivienne and Julius had raised two lovely daughters, and they had to be wonderful people.

Vivienne looked at her husband and noted they had not always agreed, but she was elated that he had agreed to move to Los Angeles to be closer to their children.

Julius looked at Maya and haltingly called her his daughter. He joked that he didn't know why his kids wanted him with them at Thanksgiving, but he was glad. He was also grateful to Rick for bringing his family together, and he added that they could all be crazy together.

Maya said she was happy her parents were with her. She was glad that Julius had tried to accept her. He told her he loved her. They embraced.

Maya told Rick how happy she was to have a family. She thanked him for his love and support. Rick noted he loved her too.

Rick told Zende how much he admired him for standing by Nicole. He was glad that Zende had returned to Forrester.

Zende told Nicole that he was impressed with what she had done for Rick and Maya. It was a life-changing decision. He hoped to be a part of her life for a very long time. He kissed her cheek.

Nicole turned to Charlie and thanked him for always protecting all of them and making them laugh.

Charlie thanked her and turned to Pam. He thanked Pam for being a part of his life. Pam looked at Deacon and thanked him for being in Quinn's life because he had been good for her.

Deacon turned to Quinn and told her she was stubborn and vindictive, and Quinn interrupted to remind him that he was supposed to say good things. Deacon added that the last thing he ever would have wanted was a boring marriage.

Quinn looked at Wyatt and said that they had been through a lot together. She remembered the time she had tried to flash-cook the turkey in a kiln. They all laughed. She added that Wyatt had been brilliant at a young age, and she was proud of him.

Wyatt looked at Ivy and said she been relentless in her work and family. He said she never gave up, and he hoped she would never give up on him. He told her he loved her and kissed her.

Ivy turned to Brooke and called her the legend and the myth. She added that Brooke filled the holes and offered compassion and kindness to everyone in the family, and she was amazing at work. She knew everything but was not gossipy. Instead, she helped everyone. Ivy thought it was sweet.

Brooke told everyone at the table that none of them would be there without Eric. He was "the leader and the foundation" of the family. She cheered Eric and everyone toasted.

Eric thanked everyone and said that they had kept alive a tradition of love, commitment, and respect and had evolved as a family. He praised them all and wished them a happy Thanksgiving.

Charlie and Pam wheeled in the turkey, and they all kissed, laughed, and shared dinner.
