Daily Recaps
Did Craig finally get what was coming to him? There were five people, including two ex-wives and his sister, conspiring against him. As awful as he can be at times, Oakdale won't be the same without him.

This week in Oakdale had some real good moments as well surprising turns for Keith, Lily and Craig. My first thought is both of these issues with Keith and Craig for real because they both need to be in Oakdale.

Julia's Murder Investigation
This investigation is taking a new change every week with a new prime suspect. Could Julia's brother, Keith be her killer? He did show up at her gravesite with the bee pollen and he was very adamant about not letting the police exhume her body. It does seem as if he is making sure that Les is their lead suspect. Why? Well, when Julia first died, something was said about a trust fund left for JJ by his grandparents. He was also mentioned that Keith has some serious financial problems. So, if he is JJ's guardian then he controls the money and with Les in jail for the murder he is free to do as he wishes. But, what about his so-called attraction to Lily; is Lucinda right on track about Keith needing her to make himself look not guilty? This will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I never thought I would ever say this about her - poor Carly. Carly is really afraid of being alone after Les attacked her. She is doing her best to maintain her strong façade but she just crumbles when no one is around. I do like how she and JJ have formed a nice relationship. If Keith turns out to be the murderer and Les is somehow removed as a threat, then Carly and Jack will be able to adopt JJ and make him a part of the Snyder family.

Craig
Could Craig have finally gotten what was coming to him? Well, there were five people including two ex-wives and his sister conspiring against him. As awful as he can be at times, Oakdale would not be the same without him being involved in one of his many schemes. Craig does have love for others besides himself like Lucy, Sierra and Margo. I didn't include Katie because they sort of tolerate each other and use the fact that they are siblings for leverage in tight situations.

He did seem sincere about Jennifer's new baby. I do believe he wants to make up for him parental errors of the past - he just has such a crazy way of showing it like interrupting Jen's wedding and serving her with legal papers. He could get so much further by showing some degree of compassion.

The Veterans
In the last few weeks, we have seen the vets actually do things in Oakdale: Lucinda is heavily involved in Lily's latest saga, Kim and Bob were entertaining with the condom incident at Tom and Margo's and then this week, even though she was on for one day, Lisa actually acted like the old Lisa. When she was helping Katie, she said a line that I felt was priceless - "I have forgotten mores schemes that you will ever know" - this was classic Lisa. I hope that the new writing team finds a way to utilize these longtime characters in a way that is beneficial and not so much as background players. Let's see what happens when Meg Snyder comes back to town, this should give Emma some real airtime - I hope.

Finally, I send sincere condolences to the Bell Family on the death of Soap Opera Legend, William J. Bell. Mr. Bell was the protégée of Irna Phillips, creator of As the World Turns and he was also a writer for As the World Turns from 1957 - 1966 in addition to co-creating ATWT spin-off, Our Private World starring Eileen Fulton as Lisa Hughes. The many characters he created and his contributions to all of daytime will live on for a very long time. He will surely be missed.

That's all I have for now.
