Carly has been so determined to find Jack, and when they finally came face to face last week, it was like a sigh of relief. The story isn't over yet, but just seeing them together was a major step in the right direction.
Hopefully things are moving in the right direction with Carly seeing Jack, Barbara spending some comically good times with Dr. Rick Decker and Allison is away from her tortured relationship with Chris. These are some of the stories that I am enjoying right now in Oakdale but there is always more that could be done.

Carly has been so determined to find Jack this week and when they finally came face to face, it was like a sigh of relief. I know the story is not over yet but just seeing them together was a major step in the right direction. This story required the audience on a number of occasions to suspend belief as Parker had psychic moments, items were thrown in the lake to be found in another town in a short period of time and we were supposed to believe that Jack would so cavalierly marry another woman so soon.
I enjoy this show so much that I was willing to ignore some things - this Julia person falls in love with a man who has no memory of his past and brings her young son along for the ride. What mother would let her son become attached to a man that you know will someday find out that he is going to go away? Then when she finds out who he is - she does not tell him or his family. I understand the dramatic effect of it all but I notice a change in the writing of late. ATWT, as written by Hogan Sheffer, used to do adult drama without the farfetched games other shows did.
I also believe that Maura West has done some of her best acting work ever in this storyline - she truly needs to be recognized at Emmy time. The range she showed when she saw Jack was phenomenal from glee to sadness to her claw-bearing feistiness when she saw Julia Larabee; this was an outstanding performance directed by Executive Producer Chris Goutman.

Barbara and Dr. Death
These two are the comic relief needed when Henry is not on the screen. I am enjoyed watching Barbara spin Rick into her web as she schemes to get out of the crazy house is masterful. I didn't know Colleen Zenk Pinter was as comically inclined - I wish there was a way to keep these two together to create havoc in Oakdale for awhile.

Allison and Lucy
Lucy has truly grown up and has become Craig's daughter and Lucinda's granddaughter especially when she asked Dusty could Allison be banded from the gym because of her interference. She is no longer the mousy girl who cowered under Allison's thumb a few years ago and allowed Aaron to suck the life out of her. I enjoy her more now as Aaron's friend and as Dusty's girl. By the way, Allison is showing real signs of being an adult herself after the engagement ended by getting a job and she is not working on one of her schemes.
Finally, do I see chemistry with Jennifer and Mike? I did like her with Jordan but she has a spark with Mike; he has a look in his eyes that he hasn't had since Katie left. So what's going to happen when Katie returns and he has started to cozy up to Jen?
One more thing - it's about time that Holden and Lily took a break because they have been doing nothing but trying to save a sinking ship. The Molly thing made it obvious that Holden needs to refocus and Lily needs to continue on her quest to save everyone including herself.

That's all I have for now.
