Jesse sought out Randi at ConFusion. When he tried to broach the subject of her marriage, Randi tried to stall him, but Jesse wouldn't be denied. Jesse decided to share the news that Frankie was scheduled to meet with the hospital's board later that morning. Jesse pushed for Randi to talk to Frankie. He explained that Frankie had not slept with Madison. Randi admitted that Frankie wasn't the problem; she feared what Frankie thought of her since he had learned that she had killed Henry North. Randi decided that divorce was her only option.

After Randi walked away, Madison approached Jesse's table. Madison had overheard part of Jesse's conversation with Randi. Madison snidely commented that she didn't think that Frankie and Randi's marriage would last. Madison added that Randi had been correct; Randi did drag Frankie down. Madison thought that Frankie should have left Randi long before. When Jesse wondered if Madison had designs on his son, Madison admitted that she did have a crush on Frankie. Jesse warned Madison to stay away from his family. Madison smirked at Jesse and sauntered off.

Angie walked into her office, carrying one of Frankie's suits. Frankie was waiting for her. He wasn't thrilled with his mother's clothing selection, but Angie reminded him that she had done him a favor by dropping by his apartment to pick it up. Duly chastised, Frankie took the suit. They briefly talked about the upcoming board meeting before Angie announced her plans to throw a celebratory dinner. Angie was confident that Frankie would be reinstated. Frankie objected to Angie's idea of inviting Randi. He didn't think that a family dinner would mend any fences.

After Frankie changed clothes, he rejoined his mother. Angie continued talking about Randi. Frankie admitted that he felt terrible for hurting his wife by getting drunk and then falling into bed with Madison. It didn't matter to Frankie that he hadn't slept with Madison; the damage had been done. Angie confessed that she was tired of running interference, so that Frankie could avoid Randi. Angie insisted that Frankie and Randi had to talk things through. She also advised her son to stay away from Madison. Angie feared that Madison was nothing but trouble.

Later, the board members congratulated Frankie after their meeting was concluded. Angie was delighted that Frankie had been reinstated as a doctor. Moments later, she noticed Randi standing in the doorway. Angie decided to make herself scarce, so that Frankie and Randi could talk. As soon as they were alone, Frankie told Randi that he had his job back. Randi was happy for him. When Frankie began to apologize for what had happened with Madison, Randi stopped him. She told Frankie that the apology was too much, and then revealed that she had decided that they should divorce.

Frankie had no idea how to respond. Randi confessed that she felt as if she had driven Frankie to drink and that she had pushed him into Madison's arms. Frankie couldn't understand why Randi wanted to give up on their marriage. Randi admitted that she didn't; she loved Frankie deeply. Frankie pulled Randi into his arms and then kissed her. Afterwards, he walked her to the door. He apologized because he couldn't take her home; he had to meet with David. Randi assured him that she would be waiting for him. As they parted, Madison approached Frankie.

When Frankie returned to the boardroom, Madison followed him in and then slammed the door closed. Madison didn't try to hide her satisfaction as she offered false condolences on his "tanked" marriage. Frankie ordered Madison to go home. Madison didn't appreciate Frankie's attitude; she reminded Frankie that she could destroy Jesse's career and life if she revealed that Jesse had covered up Henry's murder.

Madison was pleased when Frankie held his tongue. Confident that she had his attention, Madison asked Frankie what he thought about the lucrative business of organ donation. Frankie cringed at the idea of harvesting and selling human organs on the black market. He refused to enter into such an abhorrent venture; he also clarified that his marriage was just fine.

Madison was surprised that she had misread Frankie and Randi's body language as they had parted. Madison insisted that she knew what love looked like. Frankie laughed as he suggested that she might have loved people, but he was fairly certain that no one had ever loved her in return. Madison was crushed. She sarcastically thanked Frankie for his keen, but cruel, insight into her life. Frankie stepped forward in an attempt to apologize.

Madison held her hand up to stop Frankie; she didn't want his pity. In her fury she turned her back on Frankie and then spotted a heavy object on the table. While Madison's hand reached for it, Frankie seemed concerned as he called out her name.

Angie met up with Jesse at ConFusion. She shared the wonderful news that their son had been reinstated at the hospital. When Angie revealed that she had seen Randi, Jesse groaned. He confided that he had spoken to Randi earlier and that Randi had decided to ask Frankie for a divorce. Angie was heartbroken; she believed that Frankie and Randi's marriage could be saved.

Jesse also revealed the details about his encounter with Madison, including the threat that he had made. Jesse admitted that there were two types of criminals. According to Jesse, Madison was the dangerous kind. He was worried that by threatening Madison, he had merely lit a fuse to a loose cannon.

At the Slater residence, Liza talked to Zach about sneaking Emma over to the Chandler mansion, so that Emma could visit Annie. Meanwhile, Spike had wandered away, looking for his mother. When Spike spotted Kendall he called out, "Mommy." Liza turned around. Luckily, Kendall managed to duck out of sight before Liza spotted her. As Zach scooped up Spike, he explained that Spike had created an imaginary Kendall to help deal with the loss of his mother. Liza believed Zach. Moments later, Zach excused himself.

In the secret room, Zach scolded Kendall for nearly being discovered by Liza. Kendall defended herself; she had been eager to see Spike. She groused that there wouldn't have been a risk of being seen if Liza weren't always at the house. Zach explained that Liza had taken Emma over, so that Zach could take Emma to the Chandler mansion to visit Annie. Kendall was peeved that Zach had agreed to go along with the plan only after Liza, not Kendall, had suggested it.

Kendall was also surprised that Ryan had entrusted Liza with Spike and Emma. When Zach didn't rise to the bait, Kendall ordered him to go. She wanted him to take Liza with him and leave the boys with her. Zach pointed out that he couldn't do that. Liza might object to Zach popping in a video for the boys and then leaving them home alone while he took Emma to see Annie.

In the living room, Emma asked Liza why Spike spoke to Aunt Kendall as if she were in the house. Liza explained that Spike missed his mother and had created an imaginary mommy to help him deal with the loneliness. Liza subtly changed the subject to Emma's visit with Annie. When Liza mentioned the Chandler mansion, Emma became quiet. Liza reminded Emma that she had also been there on that terrible night. Liza offered to talk to Emma about it, but Emma refused to speak. Moments later Zach returned to the living room.

Zach offered to take Emma to see Annie; however, when he mentioned taking her to the Chandler mansion, Emma refused to go. Emma changed her mind when Zach promised that he would stay with her, in order to protect her. Zach quickly called Annie and then left with Emma.

Liza remained behind to watch Ian and Spike. Spike immediately wandered off to find Kendall. Kendall opened her secret door and then hugged her son. She quickly hid in her room when she heard Liza approach. Liza found Spike staring at the secret panel. When she asked him what he was looking at, Spike responded, "Mommy." Liza played along by talking to an imaginary Kendall until Spike clarified, "Mommy in wall."

Kendall breathed a sigh of relief when Liza didn't take Spike seriously. Liza carried Spike to the living room just as Colby arrived, pushing Stuart's pram. Colby looked around and then asked where Emma was. Liza set Spike down to play before she explained that Zach had taken Emma to visit Annie. Colby thought that it was a bad idea, but Liza insisted that it was for the best. Liza noticed that Spike had disappeared again, so she asked Colby to watch Ian while she went to find Spike.

Spike returned to the secret panel. Kendall opened her door to speak to her son. She tried to persuade him to go back to the living room with Liza, but Spike didn't want to leave Kendall. Kendall decided to pull Spike into the secret room with her when she heard Liza drawing near. Liza continued searching for Spike without success. Colby wondered what her mother had meant when she had suggested that Spike had gone to see Kendall.

Liza explained that Spike had an imaginary mother to help cope with Kendall's absence. Colby wondered if that was healthy. Liza was too focused on trying to find Spike to discuss it with Colby. As Liza resumed her search, she ended up in front of the secret panel. Liza studied it closely while Kendall hid in the secret room with Spike clutched closely too her in an effort to keep him quiet.

At the Chandler mansion, Adam stood at the patio doors watching as a storm moved in. Annie entered the parlor prattling on about a dream that she had. She became concerned when she realized that Adam wasn't listening to her. Adam admitted the storm reminded him of the night that Stuart had been killed. Adam was frustrated because he believed that he owed it to his brother to remember more about the events leading up to Stuart's murder. Annie seemed nervous as she tried to distract Adam from his melancholy thoughts.

Eventually, Annie managed to lure Adam to the sofa and then tried to tempt him with something to eat. She also tried to focus Adam's thoughts on them, not Stuart. Annie was shocked when Adam suddenly accused Annie of being the reason that Adam had been unable to save his brother. According to Adam, if he hadn't been chasing after Annie, then he would have been shot, not Stuart.

Annie refused to allow Adam to torture himself with guilt. She admitted that what had happened to Stuart had been tragic, but reminded Adam that Stuart was at peace. Adam confided that he doubted he would ever be at peace with what had happened to his twin. A short time later, Zach called Annie to let her know that Emma was with him and that he intended to stop by for a visit. Zach warned Annie to make certain that no one was near the patio when they arrived. After Annie ended the call with Zach, she persuaded Adam to go to the bedroom to rest.

Annie was overjoyed when Zach and Emma arrived. Emma raced into her mother's arms while Zach watched them closely. A boom of thunder frightened Emma; she trembled in Annie's arms. Annie clearly wanted to be alone with Emma, but Zach refused to leave Emma's side. Emma confirmed that she wanted Zach nearby. Annie didn't argue further; instead, she focused on her daughter. When Annie asked if Emma had missed her, Emma responded that she had missed her as much as Spike had missed his mommy. Annie looked up at Zach just as Adam stepped out onto the patio.

Annie explained that Zach had stopped by, so that Annie could visit with her daughter. Adam insisted on Zach joining him in the parlor. Zach tried to decline, but Annie assured Zach that she would be fine with Emma. Zach went inside with Adam; however, he kept a close eye on Emma. As soon as they were alone, Adam wanted to know what Zach was up to. He suspected that Zach was trying to punish Ryan for taking Spike by arranging a visit between Annie and Emma.

According to Zach, a daughter shouldn't be kept from her mother. He claimed that he had not done it for Annie, but rather because it was best for Emma. Adam changed the subject to ask Zach if he had recently talked to Kendall. When Zach replied that he hadn't, Adam wondered if Zach had written off the mother of his children. Zach revealed that he hadn't, but he couldn't count on her to help raise the boys from where she was. Zach realized that there would be a day when he would have to explain to the boys that their mother was in prison because she had shot a good man; Zach admitted that he did not look forward to that day.

Adam confessed that there were times that he had felt as if he were hovering above what had happened the night that Stuart had been murdered. Adam envisioned Stuart tugging at his tie because he wasn't used to wearing it, before something outside had snagged Stuart's attention. As Stuart turned, light ning struck and then glass shattered; moments later, Stuart suddenly felt something in his back. However, Stuart had collapsed and then died before he had ever discovered what had injured him. Adam was haunted by what Stuart's last memory had been before his world had gone black.

On the patio, Annie insisted that it was more fun when it was just the two of them. Emma confided that Spike pretended his mommy was there when she wasn't. Emma wanted Annie to help Kendall get out of jail. She believed that Annie could do it because Annie had managed to get herself out of jail. Annie promised Emma that Kendall was in a secure place. She urged Emma to stop worrying about Kendall, so that she could focus on little girl things like slumber parties and playing dress-up. Annie then asked Emma about school.

Another boom of thunder startled Emma. She squeezed her eyes shut as Annie held her. Emma was assailed by a memory of an adult firing a gun while Emma watched. Annie assured Emma that everything would be okay, but Emma wanted her mother to make the gun stop. Annie insisted that what had happened "that night" had just been an accident.

Emma argued that it had been bad. Annie repeated that it had been an accident, like the time that Emma had broken a Christmas ornament. Annie claimed that it had been okay because Emma hadn't been bad. Annie reminded Emma that she hadn't gotten in trouble for the broken angel because it had been an accident.

Zach watched as Adam appeared to be in the grip of painful memories while the thunder and lightning raged outside. Concerned for Emma, Zach stepped outside. Annie was focused on Emma as she told her, "Emma, do you understand me? No more worrying about the accident. And no more talking about it with anybody, okay?"

Emma promised, "I won't tell anyone" just as her eyes were drawn to Zach. Annie noticed; she turned to find Zach standing in the doorway.

Randi asked Natalia to meet her at Fusion because she needed help. When Natalia arrived, she wondered why Randi needed her. Erica stepped in and stated that she needed volunteers. Erica explained that she wanted to raise over one-million dollars for children in Africa. Natalia inquired how Erica planned accomplish that, despite a bad economy. Erica smiled and said, "With dancing."

Erica and Ryan told all of their volunteers that they needed their help with a dance marathon. Erica stated that she wanted to hold a dance marathon at Fusion. Ryan explained that the event would be televised live, so viewers could call and pledge money.

Brot wanted to volunteer to help the cause. Natalia was annoyed to see Brot and told him they did not need help. Randi disagreed with Natalia and encouraged Brot to help. Randi then commented that she was going to miss her romantic evening with Frankie because of work. Natalia and Brot were happy to hear that Randi and Frankie were trying to work things out. They offered to take over Randi's duties, so she could meet Frankie. Randi was grateful.

Erica's cameraman from New Beginnings stopped by Fusion. He told Erica that the crew missed her. He also divulged that the show's ratings were down 30-percent since the new host took over. Erica looked pleased.

Erica commented to Ryan that, in the past, she would have made her appearance and moved on to the next show. However, Erica could not do that after her trip to Africa. She was determined to follow through and help the children. She said that her trip to Africa changed her for the better. Ryan noted that it would be hard for her to get any better since she was already great. She smiled.

Frankie and Madison were in a conference room at the hospital. Madison flipped out and yelled, "You don't deserve me! No man deserves me!" Then, she picked up a heavy plaque and struck his hand with it. He fell to the floor in pain. She lifted the plaque as if she were going to hit him over the head. He begged her not to hurt him. She recalled the night that she killed her husband, Henry. She looked upset and ran away.

Frankie informed Jesse and Angie about his dangerous encounter with Madison. Jesse said that he would handle Madison. Frankie wanted to help, but both Jesse and Angie urged him to focus on Randi, not Madison.

Jesse searched for Madison, but could not find her. Jesse feared that Madison was up to no good and Angie agreed. Jesse also wondered if Madison had more to do with Henry's death than she cared to admit.

After everyone left Fusion for the night, Madison entered the office with a sinister look on her face.

Frankie and Randi met at their apartment. They were glad to see each other and made love. She asked him if their relationship was ending. He replied, "It's just the beginning." Then, they kissed.

Annie told Emma that she needed to forget about the night of the "accident." Emma promised that she would not tell anyone her secret. Meanwhile, Zach overheard the dialogue and wondered what they were talking about. Annie claimed that she told Emma not to tell Ryan about their visit.

Adam recalled the night that Stuart died as Zach and Emma were about to leave the mansion. Emma told Zach that she was scared something bad would happen again. Zach asked Emma why she felt that way. Adam told Zach to stop interrogating the girl. Adam accused Zach of bringing Emma to the mansion to get her to talk about Stuart's death. Adam wanted to call security, but Annie vouched for Zach.

Scott saw Zach and Emma exit the mansion. Scott demanded to know what was going on. Annie explained that Zach brought Emma by for a visit. Scott and Adam were suspicious of Zach's motives.

Adam was frustrated because he still could not recall all of the events from the night of Stuart's death. Annie urged Adam to stop thinking about the night, so he could move on. Adam agreed and left the room.

Scott admonished Annie for trying to make Adam forget about the night. Scott felt that Adam needed to remember the night, so he could grieve properly. Annie said that she did not want Adam to suffer and stormed out of the room.

Scott thought about the numerous times he flirted with Annie. He pictured her in a bikini as he shook his head.

Annie tried to talk about the wedding with Adam, but he was too distracted. He admitted that he could not stop thinking about Stuart's murder. Then, they fell asleep. Annie dreamed that Scott was in the bed and that he kissed her. She woke up suddenly and noticed Adam staring at her.

Liza and Colby could not find Spike. They looked all over Zach's house, but the boy was no where to be found. Meanwhile, Kendall brought Spike into her secret room. When the coast was clear, Kendall sent the boy out of the room. Spike pretended that he was hiding because he wanted to play hide-and-go-seek.

Zach and Emma arrived at Zach's house. Liza asked Emma to tell her everything that happened on the night of Stuart's death. Emma did not want to discuss the night. Instead, Emma said that she did not want Kendall to be in jail over an "accident."

After Colby left with Emma and Spike, Zach told Liza about his visit to the Chandler mansion. Zach wondered why Annie and Emma called the murder an "accident." Liza assumed that Annie told Emma the murder was an accident, so the girl would not be scared. Zach thought there was more to it. Then, Liza informed Zach that Spike insisted his mom was in the wall. Liza further noted that part of the wall was hollow. Zach claimed that the hollow wall was an old storage room that he boarded up, so the kids could not get in.

After Liza left, Zach told Kendall about his visit to the mansion. He was not sure if Annie was the killer anymore. However, he was certain that Annie knew who the killer was. He was determined to find out Annie's secret.

Ryan was surprised to find Colby babysitting his kids, instead of Corinna. Colby explained that Corinna had an emergency and needed a replacement. Ryan wished that Colby would have notified him.

Ryan asked Spike and Emma how their day was. Spike said that he played with Ian. Ryan looked concerned and wondered if Zach visited Spike and Emma. Emma lied and told her father that she did not see Zach or Ian.

Marissa made JR vegetable soup. He urged her to relax, but she could not stop worrying about him. He did not want her to treat him like he was pathetic and helpless due to the cancer. He affirmed that he did not plan on dying anytime soon. Then, they started to make out on the couch. Suddenly, Marissa stopped and told JR that he should take it easy. She then received a phone call from David. She claimed that David needed her help and left the cabin. JR looked baffled.

Scott saw Marissa at ConFusion. He could tell that she was upset and wondered if JR did something to hurt her. She cried as she revealed that she was falling in love with JR. Still, she was hesitant to get close to him because she feared losing him. She explained that she put up emotional barriers since the death of her parents. Scott understood and hugged her. Meanwhile, JR entered the club and saw Marissa and Scott in an embrace. JR looked sad and left.

Zach told Kendall that he planned to attend the dance marathon. He saw it as an opportunity to talk to Annie when she was tired and vulnerable. Kendall did not want him to go because she assumed that his dance partner was Liza. He reminded Kendall that Liza was trying to prove Kendall's innocence. He told Kendall to hang out with Ian while he was gone.

A reporter and a news crew were at Fusion covering the dance marathon that Erica organized. Erica told the reporter that she wanted to raise money for the starving children in Africa. Erica explained that viewers could watch the marathon and then pledge money to keep their favorite couples in the event. Erica encouraged people to donate as much money as they could, especially if they wanted to see their favorite couples keep dancing.

The reporter revealed that Adam and Annie were participating in the event. The reporter stated that a judge allowed Annie to attend the marathon. The reporter then saw Adam and Annie enter Fusion and jumped at the chance to interview them. Adam announced that he was looking forward to dancing with his fiancée. The reporter inquired when Annie's trial was scheduled. Annie hoped to go to trial as soon as possible. Adam added that he was excited for Annie to clear her name.

Ryan noticed Adam and Annie and ordered them to leave, but they refused. Ryan accused them of using the event for their personal gain. Ryan felt that they were using the event to paint a positive image of Annie, in order to help her get acquitted. Erica realized that Ryan was upset and asked to speak with Adam privately.

Erica asked Adam if he was healthy enough to dance, and he insisted he was fine. Adam asked Erica if Ryan was her partner and she said yes. With a snide tone, he wondered if Erica could keep up with a younger man. She told Adam that she could keep up with anyone. Then, she called Annie a psychotic murderer. He stated that Kendall was a psychotic murderer, not Annie. Erica was outraged and told him to leave the event. He promised that his company would match any pledges he received, up to one-million dollars. She could not pass up a large donation, so she agreed to let him stay.

Annie told Ryan that they should try to be civil for Emma's sake. He said that he actually liked "crazy Annie" better than "snarky, bitchy Annie." She mentioned that she never saw him smile anymore. She urged him to lighten up.

Erica informed Ryan that she let Adam and Annie stay at the marathon. Ryan begged her to reconsider. She explained that Adam was willing to make an enormous donation. Plus, she wanted to beat them in the competition and embarrass them on television.

Erica ran into Annie in the rest room. Annie played nice with Erica, but Erica knew it was an act. Erica told Annie, "You need a thicker foundation. I can still see your scales."

Opal and Pete arrived at Fusion. Pete was upset because he was dancing with his mother. He was nervous that everyone would see him on television and call him a loser. She reminded him that the event was for a good cause.

Colby took Emma to Fusion. Emma saw Annie and ran to her. Emma and Annie embraced. Ryan noticed them together and freaked out. Zach, Liza, and Adam encouraged Ryan to let Emma spend a few minutes with her mother, but Ryan would not have it. Colby apologized and swore that she did not know Annie would be at Fusion. Ryan asked Colby to take Emma home. Opal offered to watch Emma, while Colby and Pete danced together. Colby and Ryan agreed to the arrangement.

Opal took Emma to the restroom before they left Fusion. As they left the restroom, Opal had a vision of blood dripping down the wall. She looked distraught and exclaimed, "Not again!"

Erica was mad at Zach for entering the dance marathon with Liza. Zach assured Erica that his relationship with Liza was platonic. He then inquired about Erica's relationship with Ryan. Erica claimed that she and Ryan were just friends. Zach warned her to be careful with Ryan, because he was a "loose cannon." Erica retorted, "Liza's just loose!"

Randi and Taylor fixed their makeup in the restroom. Taylor told Randi about her fight with Tad. Taylor felt that Tad was not ready for a relationship. Randi thought that Taylor should ask Tad to be her dance partner. Taylor changed the subject and inquired if Randi had made up with Frankie. Randi smiled and noted that their relationship was back on track. After they left the restroom, Madison emerged from a stall. Madison had been eavesdropping on them.

Jesse informed Angie and Frankie that he had not found Madison. Frankie wondered why Madison did not make good on her threat to tell the police that Randi killed Henry. Jesse was certain that Madison would not go to the cops. Jesse had a theory that Madison really killed Henry, not Randi.

Natalia arrived at Fusion. Jesse told her to keep an eye on Annie. Natalia proceeded to follow Annie around. Annie was very annoyed by Natalia's presence.

Taylor found Tad and asked if he would be her dance partner. He turned her down because he was hosting the event for Erica while she danced. Taylor looked disappointed. Brot noticed that she did not have a partner and offered to dance with her, as a friend. She was excited. Tad then saw them paired up. She told Tad, "It's not what it looks like." Tad sarcastically replied, "It never is." Brot could sense that Taylor liked Tad. Brot urged her not to give up.

Amanda secretly met Jake at Fusion. He assumed that they would be dance partners, but she revealed that she was dancing with David instead. Jake was shocked. She explained that she had a plan to get David out of their lives. She wanted to make David fall in love with her. She thought that would make David vulnerable. Jake feared that David would want to sleep with her, but she promised to remain loyal to Jake. Jake asked what she planned to do once David fell for her. She answered, "Then, I'll end it."

David arrived at Fusion with Trevor and a nanny. Tad wondered if David paid a woman to dance with him. David stated that Amanda was his partner. Tad was stunned. David noted that Amanda had once found him desirable. David commented that lightning could strike twice between Amanda and him.

Jake found Trevor with his nanny. Jake asked the nanny if he could hold Trevor and she said yes. Jake held Trevor and professed how much he missed the baby.

Tad kicked off the marathon and explained the rules to the television audience. All of the couples started to dance.

Kendall watched coverage of the marathon with Ian. She glared at the screen when she saw Zach and Liza dancing. Kendall told Ian that Liza was a mean, nasty lady.

Thursday, September 17, 2009

As the dance marathon kicked off, JR found Marissa working at ConFusion. Marissa was surprised when JR announced that he had secured a place for them on the dance floor at the charity event. JR wondered if Marissa wanted to join him. Marissa was delighted to accept JR's offer. Scott watched from nearby as Marissa and JR left.

Cameras panned around the room as the couples danced to the lively music in Fusion. Meanwhile Tad, the host, explained to the viewing audience that donations could be made in honor of the couples on the dance floor. Each couple that received a fifteen thousand dollar donation in their honor would be allowed to rest for a short period of time.

Colby giggled when Pete confessed that he deeply regretted drinking lemonade just before the marathon had started. Meanwhile, Natalia lurked on the outskirts of the dance floor watching Annie. Jake offered to help Natalia get closer to Annie. A short time later, Jake cut in on Brot and Taylor while they danced. He asked Brot to dance with Natalia while Jake took over for Brot.

David objected to Jake's shenanigans. He led Amanda over to Tad, who took full advantage of the cameras. David was forced to be civil while Tad asked him to introduce Amanda. Tad was quick to correct David when he referred to Amanda's last name as "Dillon" rather than "Martin." Tad also informed David that there was a fifteen-minute grace period for late entries; Jake was well within the fifteen-minute window.

David's annoyance only grew when Tad smugly revealed that a five thousand dollar donation had been made in Jake's honor. It appeared that David's co-workers had pooled their money together. David bit back his fury as he reminded the viewing audience that he and Amanda were couple number twenty.

Elsewhere on the dance floor, Angie worried about Natalia's assignment to watch Annie. Jesse assured his wife that Natalia was up to the task.

Frankie and Randi softly swayed to the music. Madison stood in ConFusion and watched on a monitor as the camera focused on the happy couple. She quickly called in a donation of twelve thousand dollars in the hopes limiting their time on the dance floor. Madison kept a close eye on Frankie and Randi until they went to ConFusion for refreshments. As Madison lurked just out of sight, Randi ordered some water. Madison carefully poured something from a small vial into a water bottle.

Natalia thanked Brot for his understanding; she appreciated his willingness to help her to keep a close watch on Annie. As Adam and Annie danced and carried on like lovebirds, Tad announced that Adam and Annie had earned a rest. Natalia bristled that a war hero like Brot hadn't received more donations than people Adam and Annie. Brot decided to twitter his friends in an effort to recruit more donations.

Erica and Ryan watched as Annie and Adam left the dance floor. Luckily, Erica and Ryan had received sufficient donations to justify a short break. Erica quickly followed Annie and Adam to ConFusion. Annie and Erica managed to trade a few insults before Ryan joined them. Ryan accused Adam of putting on a show in an attempt to garner public sympathy for Annie. Ryan warned Annie that he wouldn't let her use Emma.

Ryan managed to push Annie's buttons by mentioning Emma. She lashed out at Ryan, but he caught her wrist before Annie had managed to slap him across the face. Adam smiled as he watched the scene unfold. Ryan was disappointed that the cameras had not caught Annie's outburst. Ryan considered it further proof of just how unstable Annie truly was. Annie snatched her hand back and then apologized to Adam. She decided to go to the restroom to freshen up.

As soon as Annie walked away, Erica warned Adam to keep a tight leash on Annie. Erica didn't want Annie to ruin the event with her theatrics. Adam gloated to Ryan that the tide was turning against Ryan. When Adam mentioned Zach's name, Ryan demanded to know what he was talking about. Adam suggested that Ryan question Zach.

Annie stepped into the hallway only to discover a police officer blocking her way. Annie was irritated. The policewoman explained that they wanted to make certain that Annie knew that she was being closely monitored. Annie insisted that she needed some space to breathe. The officer stepped away just as Scott approached Annie. He suggested that she should have stayed at the mansion if she wanted to be alone.

Scott wondered why Annie was really at the charity event. Annie claimed that she just wanted to spend some time with the man that she loved. Scott didn't appear to believe her, but he let the matter drop.

Liza resorted to desperate measures when she and Zach noticed that Adam and Annie had left the dance floor. Liza decided to dance provocatively with Zach in the hopes of raising enough money to earn a break. As she carried on with Zach, the donations flooded in. Within minutes, Liza and Zach had raised enough money to take a short rest.

In ConFusion, Ryan confronted Zach about Adam's comment. Ryan worried that Zach was using Emma to punish Ryan for taking Spike. Zach denied that he had secretly arranged meetings between Emma and Annie. Zach suggested that Ryan spend time with Emma if he was concerned about her welfare.

Ryan refused to be baited into an argument with Zach. Moments later, Erica approached Ryan to remind him that their time was up and that they had to return to the marathon. After Ryan and Erica left, Liza walked up to Zach. Zach excused himself for a moment. As he walked away, Liza's cell phone rang.

Kendall sat in her secret room watching the marathon unfold on television. When the camera showed Liza's sexy dance with Zach, Kendall fumed. She ranted at the television as she complained that Zach and Liza didn't appear to be focused on Annie. Eventually, Kendall couldn't take it any more. She snatched up the cell phone to call Liza. Liza was stunned when Kendall demanded that Liza put Zach on the phone. Liza didn't immediately comply, prompting Kendall to ask Liza who was watching Stuart.

When Zach returned to Liza's side, he noticed the look on her face. He quickly took the phone as Kendall continued to berate Liza. Kendall was unapologetic as Zach inquired why Kendall had called. Kendall informed Zach that while he and Liza had been in ConFusion, Annie and Adam had returned to the dance floor. To Kendall's shock, Zach disconnected the call without further comment.

Tad announced that a special donation of twenty thousand dollars had been made with the request that every couple perform a dance similar to the chicken dance. After Tad explained the steps, everyone began flapping their arms, snapping their fingers, and then spinning to a polka melody.

After the group dance, the couples paired off again. When Amanda spotted the nanny with Trevor, she and David twirled over to their son. Jake watched them. Taylor felt awful for Jake; she wondered why he continued to torture himself. Jake admitted that he was determined to be there for Amanda when everything crashed down around her.

Elsewhere on the dance floor, JR confessed that he had thought that Marissa would have invited Scott to the dance marathon. Marissa was curious until JR admitted that he'd seen Marissa with Scott at ConFusion. From what JR had observed, he'd assumed that Scott and Marissa had grown close. Marissa clarified that she and Scott were just friends; Marissa admitted that she was falling in love with JR.

JR was speechless. The idea that Marissa loved him scared him. JR confided that he was also falling in love with Marissa. Marissa beamed with joy. As the two kissed, the spotlight landed on them. David was furious when he saw his daughter and JR, but Amanda persuaded David not to act on his anger. Scott also witnessed the kiss as a touch of sadness crossed his expression.

A short time later, JR and Marissa walked off of the dance floor. They went to the rooftop where they resumed their kissing.

Annie was enjoying herself immensely on the dance floor. In her enthusiasm, she kissed Adam. Adam was suddenly assailed by vivid images of Annie and Emma on the night of Stuart's murder. Adam recalled running from Annie and then witnessing Stuart's collapse. Annie noticed Adam's ashen complexion. She asked him what was wrong, but Adam insisted that he was fine.

As Ryan and Erica danced, Ryan admitted that he was concerned that Zach might be helping Emma and Annie sneak visits. Erica sensed Ryan's concern; she urged him to go home to his daughter if he believed that Emma needed him. Ryan made it clear that he was determined to find out what Annie was up to. Erica glanced over at Annie and Adam. When Erica noticed Adam's slightly dazed expression, she suggested that Adam might be on the brink of dropping out of the marathon.

Erica quickly faked a sprained ankle in an effort to free Ryan up to dance with Annie. The trick worked to perfection. Within moments Annie reluctantly accepted Ryan's invitation to dance.

When Adam joined Scott on the sidelines, Scott asked if Adam was okay. Adam admitted that he was having flashbacks of the night that Stuart had died. Adam noticed that nearly everyone on the dance floor appeared to be watching Annie. Scott was certain that they kept a close eye on Annie because they suspected her of murdering Stuart. He wondered if Adam believed that Annie was guilty of the crime; Adam insisted that Annie was innocent.

Annie didn't try to hide her distrust of Ryan. She was curious if Ryan intended to force a confession from her. She seemed pretty confident that Ryan was doomed to be disappointed. Ryan suggested that perhaps Annie should be more cautious.

Madison emptied a clear substance into a bottle of water before she sneaked out of the bathroom. She ran into Brot, and they briefly made casual conversation. Once they parted ways, Madison slipped behind the bar and managed to get the tainted bottle into Frankie's hands.

Randi drained the last of the water from the plastic bottle and told her husband that they needed to get back to the dance floor. Shortly after they started to dance again, Randi's vision became blurry, and then she hallucinated and thought she saw Henry. She told Frankie of her fears, but he was able to calm her down after she had some more water. Angie and Jesse were concerned, but Randi assured them that she would be fine.

As they danced at the fundraiser, Annie accused Ryan of trying to get her to confess to something that she didn't do. She confidently told her ex-husband that he wouldn't succeed. Ryan asked Annie if she had become better friends with Zach, but Annie claimed that she was civil with Zach because of his business dealings with Adam. Ryan, sure that Zach had taken Emma to see Annie, asked for confirmation of his theory, but Annie stated that Ryan's paranoia had gotten worse.

Adam watched his fiancée dance with her ex from the sidelines. Tad approached him, but Adam failed to engage in the vitriolic banter that typified his exchanges with Tad. Shortly thereafter, Adam stepped into another room with Scott and revealed that he'd been remembering parts of the night that Stuart was killed.

Scott asked for specifics, but Adam said that he hadn't been able to piece everything together. Still, Adam confessed that it was becoming more difficult to believe in Annie's innocence. Scott countered that the more he got to know Annie, the harder it was to believe that she'd done the horrible things he'd heard about.

Liza suggested that it wouldn't be a bad idea if Zach worked with Ryan to get a confession out of Annie. Zach glared at Ryan and Annie over Liza's shoulder and insisted that he would work on his own. Liza continued to push the issue, but Zach told her that if he entrusted Ryan with the truth, Ryan would lose focus on Annie.

JR and Marissa shared a passionate kiss on the rooftop of Fusion and then enjoyed relaxing under the stars. Soon, JR suggested that they head back to the fundraiser, but Marissa wasn't ready. She reminded him that she was completely supportive of him, but said that he should tell other people about his cancer. JR was emphatic in his refusal, and said that if his father or David knew, they would try to take custody of Little Adam. Marissa was stunned at JR's revelation, but JR told her that he couldn't leave his son's future to chance. He then said that he'd spoken to Krystal and asked her to take care of Little A if anything happened to him.

David and Amanda took a break from dancing, but were re-energized when they caught sight of their son. Jake morosely took in a similar view from across the room, and Taylor offered to help lighten his mood. Taylor approached Amanda and asked if she could hold Trevor. David tried to intercede, but Amanda overruled him and told Taylor she could hold the baby while Amanda went to the bathroom. Taylor tried to make small talk with David, but his bitterness over being kept from his son still hovered like a dark cloud.

Amanda met up with Jake in the hall and, after they shared a passionate kiss, Jake spoke freely of how difficult it was to watch his wife with the man he hated. They darted into the women's restroom, and Amanda assured Jake that soon, David would let down his guard and would fail to see anything amiss. Jake mentioned how jealous he was of David, and Amanda suggested that they use Jake's feelings to expedite their plans.

Tad caught Ryan and Annie on camera, and Annie parlayed the spot into an opportunity to say hello to her daughter. Tad decided to give Ryan an equal opportunity. After the cameras were off of them, Ryan and Annie went down to ConFusion. Annie was irritated that she was being so closely monitored. She asked if she could get some air, and Ryan granted her wish and took her up to the roof.

Tad reached ConFusion and apologized to Liza for all of the jabs he made about Liza and Zach being a couple. Liza launched into a tirade about how the only thing that concerned men was getting revenge for a past wrongdoing. Tad wanted to hear more details, but Zach arrived before Liza could open up again. Zach asked about Annie, and Natalia told Zach that Ryan had taken Annie to the roof.

Taylor continued her attempts at light conversation with David until he realized that Amanda had been gone for too long. He questioned Taylor about the whereabouts of her dance partner, but when Taylor faltered in her answer, David realized what had happened. He took the baby, gave him to the nanny and took off for the bathrooms. David burst into the ladies room unceremoniously and, upon finding Amanda with Jake, demanded to know what was going on.

Amanda and Jake flawlessly convinced David that he had interrupted a heated argument. Amanda broke away from the two men, ostensibly irate over the disagreement. Once alone with Jake, David demanded that Jake stay away from Amanda. Jake refused, and claimed that he still had rights to talk to Amanda whenever he wanted. David then demanded that Jake pull himself together so as not to embarrass the hospital with his hotheaded behavior.

David exited the bathroom and found Amanda. He asked if she wanted to talk about what happened and said that he hated to see her upset. Amanda didn't believe him, so when David suggested that they call it a night and leave, Amanda said that she would rather dance until she dropped dead as opposed to going back to Wildwind.

Marissa and JR went back down to ConFusion and, after JR went to get drinks, Scott approached Marissa and warned her off of JR. Scott was alarmed when his cautionary words didn't affect Marissa's joyful mood. Scott told her that he didn't want to see her hurt, and Marissa curiously noted with a smile on her face that getting hurt was inevitable.

On the roof, Annie recalled happier days with Ryan and said that if he'd stuck by his family back when they lived at Wildwind, things would be different. Ryan admitted that there were things he'd done that he regretted, but said that the trouble Annie was in was something she'd created on her own.

Ryan's phone rang, and Annie was unable to contain her excitement when Ryan revealed that it was Emma who called. He put their daughter on speakerphone so that they could both say goodnight, but Emma didn't understand. Before Annie could stop her, Emma told her mother not to worry, because she wouldn't share their secret with Ryan. Annie was flustered; she quickly told Emma goodnight and ended the call. Annie told Ryan that Emma must have been tired and confused, and Ryan stated that he was confused, as well.

Annie tried to explain away what Emma said, but Ryan continued to push, and insisted that Annie needed to be honest. Annie told him that as much as everyone in town wanted to pin Stuart's murder on her, she wouldn't confess to something she didn't do just to get Kendall out of prison. She then begged Ryan to stop pursuing any alternative truths, as Annie had Emma's best interest at heart. Ryan considered the pleading note in Annie's voice and wanted to know what she hadn't said. Annie refused to reveal anything else, and was glad when Natalia showed up to escort her back to the fundraiser.

Back on the dance floor, David took in Amanda's soured expression and couldn't help trying to get her to talk. Amanda spilled a little about her frustrations before she resisted sharing again. Across the room, Jake resumed dancing, and thanked Taylor for what she'd done to distract David. Tad joined them and quickly realized that his brother was scheming again. Tad urged Jake not to pull any additional stunts, but his words fell on deaf ears.

Angie kept a close eye on Randi and decided that the young girl needed to rest. She besought Tad to bend the rules for medical reasons, and Tad caved in. Pete overheard Angie's assertion and begged Tad to do the same for him, so that he could go to the bathroom. Once he was granted freedom, Pete ran downstairs and almost bowled over Angie as she led Randi out to the bar.

After Randi noted how dizzy she was, Angie took Randi to the ladies room. Angie asked Randi a series of medical questions to see if she could figure out what was wrong. Unable to do so, Angie assumed that Randi needed food and went off to find something for her daughter-in- law to eat. As soon as Angie left, Madison appeared and watched as Randi bent over the sink and attempted to regain some normalcy. When Madison heard a few people approach, she ducked into a stall.

Adam said that he needed to retire for the evening, and asked Scott to look after Annie and make sure she got home. Zach heard the exchange and wondered why Adam would leave Annie with her ex. Adam again sidestepped an argument and noted that he had no interest in keeping his lady love on a leash. Unimpressed, Zach told Adam to get in touch if his feelings about Annie ever changed.

Jesse showed a picture of Madison to one of the volunteers and instructed her to find him if Madison was spotted. Brot walked over and saw the newspaper clipping in Jesse's hand. Brot revealed that he had seen Madison near the bathrooms of ConFusion a short time before. Jesse quickly found his son and told him that Madison had been spotted. The two men wasted no time and raced down to ConFusion to check on Randi.

Tad caught JR as he started to collapse on the dance floor. Tad tried to suggest that JR pack it in for the night. JR revealed that he had told Marissa about the cancer. Relieved, Tad asserted that JR should be proud of the money that they had raised, but that he shouldn't push it. Marissa agreed with Tad, so JR willingly left the floor.

Jake and Taylor swayed to the music, but Jake couldn't take his eyes off of Amanda and David. Taylor tried to stop Jake from approaching Amanda, to no avail. Jake accused Amanda of lying about how painful it was to be apart from her husband, and said that it looked like Amanda was throwing herself at David. David stood back, pleased to see Amanda's marriage unravel as he watched.

Tad tried to defuse the situation when he heard Jake and Amanda continue to take verbal swings at each other. Tad encouraged his brother to back off, as the disagreement could be caught on film. Jake didn't seem to care and the situation escalated until Tad could bear no more. He dragged Jake away, and David almost reveled gleefully. David asked Amanda if she wanted to go home, but Amanda said she just wanted to dance.

Annie quietly regarded the heated exchange between Amanda and David from her spot with Ryan on the dance floor, but he wanted to continue their discussion about Emma. He asked if Annie was protecting Emma from something, but Annie again urged Ryan to drop the questions. Realization dawned over Ryan, and that occurrence was not lost on Zach and Liza as they watched from across the room.

Marissa and JR ran into Adam on their way out, and Adam immediately assumed that JR's unstable state was due to alcohol. Marissa defended JR fiercely, unafraid of Adam. Before he walked off, Adam declared that Marissa was as deluded as Babe had been if she thought that she could save JR. JR used what happened as an example of why he didn't share things with his father.

Randi raised her head to look in the bathroom mirror and although it was Taylor behind her, she thought that she saw Madison. Out by the bar, Jesse and Frankie found Angie and asked about Randi. When Angie told them that Randi was in the bathroom, the men ran to the ladies room. After making their presence known, they entered the bathroom and were alarmed to find Taylor slumped on the floor of a stall. Frankie was further concerned that Randi was nowhere to be found.
