Kendall and Zach will soon be serving up their own marriage without regard to any wedding vows. I think Zach has real potential in PV as Thorsten Kaye is a great actor and has much on screen presence. His scenes with Maria were so heartfelt this week. With Maria leaving it was good to have closure between these two characters although it did show us all what we were missing. Greenlee decides to keep Zach away from Kendall since she doesn't have Ryan to keep her busy or out of trouble. Instead Ryan is getting into it with JR and running off to a secret rendezvous that Simone isn't able to figure out yet. It was interesting when Simone said she and Ryan were friends --- since when? Simone needs some friends. Speaking of friends, Kendall and Greenlee are becoming friends or will they? I know Kendall will have a mouthful to say to Greenlee when she finds out about Zach being locked away. Greenlee had no business doing this. As it's really none of Greenlee's business. My AMC Fan Spotlight of the week comes from Tina in Philly who writes: "Ryan has stuck his own foot in his mouth by becoming exactly the type of person he himself has expressed that he despises and that is a LIAR!! ..... Greenlee was strong, smart and very independent when she was with Leo, you couldn't pull the wool over her eyes even after his death. But with Ryan she has become this helpless dame who has resorted to the unthinkable to keep her man....... Neither of them can be themselves with each other yet the both of them claim they have this strong connection to one another that only the two of them understand?" I have to say that Tina really brings it home as Greenlee was always a strong, self-controlling, sassy and let's not forget an absolutely stunning woman with gorgeous brown eyes. Now she's a shadow of her former self. Such a pity as many Greenlee fans continue to point out. No wonder the actress is considering leaving this soap when her contract expires later this year.
Erica wants to marry Jackson in sunny Florida. The yacht scenes between the two of them were classic Jackson and Erica. Erica pretending to escape while Jackson also pretended to dive in after her! Afterward they came together and Jackson swept Erica away to the bedroom. We need more romance. It was great when Jackson gave Erica the maid's outfit. All of us long time viewers remember those wonderful French scenes so many years ago. Bianca is back for the wedding with Miranda and Ethan in tow. Ethan is one good looking man. Bianca is still her sanctimonious self as she lectures Ethan about wanting the Cambias fortune instead of Kendall. Ethan appears to be doing some soul searching.
Jamie has picked Babe over Phoebe's money and his own desires of becoming a doctor. Again, I'm going to say it's a ridiculous plot that Jamie would need this help with the family members that are all around him. That said the two of them do appear to be enjoying themselves on screen. How long will their love last? It is obvious that JR is going to tell Amanda to go after Jamie to break up Jamie and Babe. Now we see why Amanda and Babe were drawn to each other so quickly --- they both think nothing of lying when they first come to PV. Amanda needs money to pay for tuition because of Janet being in and out of institutions since the Dillons left PV. Let's not even go there. It would have been better if she had stolen the money to set up Di and get her out of the picture. Does anyone actually believe Amanda would have written about it in her diary for anyone to find and read?
Reggie is pressuring Danielle to have sex and really is out of character when he doesn't understand her not being ready. Not being ready that would be Lily and Sam. I don't even want to see their relationship moving that fast.
Why are TPTB not utilizing David? He is so great and unfortunately is getting a nothing storyline to work with. Give MY David a wonderful plot to work with. Well, the Emmy's have come and gone. AMC led the nominations with 18 but only managed to win 1 major category as Eden Riegel got the award for her portrayal of Bianca. I'll see you back here in 2 weeks.
