LeAnn Rimes met husband Eddie Cibrian while he was on Y&R but doesn't remember it

Singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibrian (ex-Matt Clark, The Young and the Restless) were both shocked to find out they'd actually met much earlier than either remembered.

The meet-cute between country singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian (ex-Matt Clark, The Young and the Restless), isn't exactly typical, considering they were both married to other people during their first encounter while filming Northern Lights back in 2008. But a recently unearthed photograph gives the beginning stages of their relationship a whole new twist: the couple actually met each other for the first time back in the mid-'90s -- but neither remembers it.

The photo shows Cibrian alongside a then 14-year-old Rimes at a fan appreciation event, which Rimes says was a huge surprise for both of them.

"We don't remember meeting each other, no. But there is a photo of it, clearly, and it is odd," Rimes tells Entertainment Tonight. "We both were like, 'Wait, what?' I think he was 23, I was 14 at the time, and he was doing The Young and the Restless. He found that right after we had worked together. He was just digging through some photos in his garage and found it."

Rimes and Cibrian are no strangers to having their romance front and center in the tabloids. Their relationship began when Rimes was married to her first husband, Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian was married to his first wife and mother of his two kids, Brandi Glanville. The pair's attraction to each other led to a very public and messy affair, and two years after the made-for-TV film Northern Lights was released, they married in a surprise ceremony at a California estate.

Cibrian's first major television role was Y&R's Matt, which he played from 1994 to 1996. As soap fans may recall, Matt was Sharon Newman's (Sharon Case) high school boyfriend who raped her after she left him for Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Cibrian later went on to play Cole Deschanel on Sunset Beach before landing roles on primetime hits like Third Watch, Ugly Betty, Baby Daddy, and Rosewood. He currently stars in the ABC dramedy Take Two.
