Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) and her husband, Ed Scott, are first-time grandparents -- two times over. The Young and the Restless actress announced that her daughter, Jennifer Scott Christensen, gave birth to twins on Wednesday, May 25.
"We've got babies!" Scott said in breaking the news on Twitter.
James Rawlings Christensen was born at 7:59 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., 3 oz. His sister, Charlotte Scott Christensen, arrived a minute later, at 8:00 a.m., and weighed 6 lbs., 2 oz.
In an interview with Soaps In Depth, Scott proclaimed, "I am in love! We are all so very happy and blessed."
The little ones' mother also has a soap connection: she works as an associate director on The Bold and the Beautiful.
