At A Glance

Felicity LaFortune joined the cast of "All My Children" in March, 1993, in the challenging role of a woman driven to steal for the sake of her autistic child. After surviving an attempt on her life by the twisted Janet Green, Laurel made the painful decision to leave her husband for her true love, Trevor Dillon. In 1996, Laurel was killed during a taping of The Cutting Edge.

Felicity dreamed of being a performer since childhood. When she was 13, she chose to concentrate on opera, and later studied voice at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.

Felicity, who has a beautiful mezzo-soprano voice, started her professional career with the Repertory Opera Theater in Chicago, then joined the San Francisco Opera chorus. She later became an apprentice with the prestigious Santa Fe Opera Company.

Felicity successfully made the transition from opera to the legitimate stage and appeared in productions throughout the United States. She has worked with such distinguished actors and directors as Jason Robards, Jose Ferrer, Gene Saks, Jerome Robbins and John Guare, in "A Month of Sundays" on Broadway, "The Exception and the Rule" at New York City's Lincoln Center, "3 Plays of the Yuan Dynasty" at Chicago's Goodman Theater, and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the California Actor's Theater. On film, she can be seen in "All I Want for Christmas," for Paramount.

Television credits include a recurring role on the series, "thirtysomething," and guest starring roles on "L.A. Law," "Midnight Caller," "Murphy Brown," "Crossbow" and "D.E.A."

Felicity is also well-known to daytime television viewers for her role of media magnate Leigh Kirkland on ABC's daytime drama, "Ryan's Hope."

Music is still an important part of Felicity's life. She works with new composers at New York University's musical theater MBA program.

In addition to attending classical concerts and recitals, Felicity enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing with her cat, Jacques.

Felicity's stint on All My Children ended in March 1996 when her character was murdered on the set of the Cutting Edge.
