Dispelling a rumor that he's going to be a dad again, Steve Burton (Harris Michaels, Days of our Lives; ex-Jason Morgan, General Hospital) announces that he and his wife, Sheree, are no longer together.

Hot on the heels of the news that Steve Burton will be reprising his 1980s role as Days of our Lives' Harris Michaels for the soap's Peacock spinoff, Beyond Salem, comes news that the actor has separated from his wife, Sheree.

Burton, whose two-decade run as General Hospital's Jason Morgan came to a close last November, was compelled to open up about his personal life after fans saw an Instagram post made by Sheree in which she declared herself "Mom of 3...soon to be 4." The latter part of her post has since been deleted, but rumors quickly began swirling that Burton was going to be a father again. Catching wind of the rumors, the actor decided to make a statement to clarify things.

"I wanted to clear something up," he shared on Instagram. "Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she's expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve."

Burton met Sheree while she was working as an intern on General Hospital, and the pair married on January 16, 1999. They have three children together: Makena Grace, born in 2003; Jack Marshall, born in 2006; and Brooklyn Faith, born in 2014.
