GH writers preview the  different path  Jason will follow now that he's regained his memory

General Hospital head writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante promise that the two-year wait viewers had to endure for Jason (Billy Miller) to remember his life will be more than worth the anguish.

General Hospital fans have had to wait a grueling two years for Billy Miller's Jason to regain his memory, and though the delay has been tough on viewers, head writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante promise that the story they have planned will make up for the torture.

First on the agenda on the road to make fans happy is reestablishing the romance between Jason and Sam (Kelly Monaco). "Although they're already together as a couple, the memories of how they came together and what they've been through, both good and bad, give him a deeper sense of their relationship," Passanante tells TVLine. "Remembering everything gives him the history he felt but couldn't fully understand until now."

Second on the agenda is renewing the connection between Jason and his former mob boss, Sonny (Maurice Benard) -- which won't be easy. "That's the one deep relationship he had yet to recover," Altman says. "So Jason will want to reach out to him in a way he hasn't been able to since his return. He also [now] knows that he can call on Sonny for help if he should need it in the future...And rest assured, he will one day need it."

So does this mean Jason will be a completely remade man? If not, how much of the "new" Jason will remain in the months ahead? For the answer to those questions and more, check out TV Line's original interview here.
