The rumors about fan favorites returning to General Hospital are not a red herring -- they're a Lynn Herring and a Kimberly McCullough.

Hot on the heels of the news that Drew Cheetwood is returning as Milo Giambetti for General Hospital's upcoming Nurses Ball comes word that Lynn Herring and Kimberly McCullough are also returning to the ABC soap for the big event.

Daytime Confidential reports that the actresses will be reprising their roles as Lucy Coe and Robin Scorpio, respectively, for the popular festivities.

Many fans may be a bit surprised to see Herring, considering the actress was vocal on Facebook about her displeasure with being brought back only for sporadic appearances without a strong storyline presence. But it turns out she might actually be back for more than just ball-related appearances, reports DC.

GH's Nurses Ball kicks off on May 24, meaning both actresses should be appearing in Port Charles in just a few weeks.

As fans may recall, Robin left town earlier this year with her husband, Patrick, who won't be making a return appearance, considering portrayer Jason Thompson is on contract with The Young and the Restless as Billy Abbott. Their on-screen daughter, Emma (Emmy-nominated actress Brooklyn Rae Silzer), is also rumored to be joining her mom for the PC return.

UPDATE: A rep for the show has confirmed that Herring and McCullough will be returning for the Nurses Ball, and Silzer will also be joining the ladies for the fun festivities. Stay tuned as more details about the upcoming Nurses Ball develop!
