Days of our Lives star Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux) had to cancel her 2020 wedding due to the pandemic, but it turns out she and Blake Levin secretly "got married in a fever", anyway!!

Popular Days of our Lives actress Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux) surprised fans over the weekend when she revealed that she and Blake Levin got married last year in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress publicly shared the news on June 5, 2021 -- exactly one year from the date that she and her longtime partner tied the knot in a private ceremony.

In a post made on Instagram, Mansi shared some photos from her very small and very intimate ceremony that took place online last June due to the lockdowns and social distancing restrictions. She and Levin are wearing plastic gloves with their masks not far out of reach, and in a nod to both the pandemic situation and the classic Johnny Cash and June Carter song "Jackson," the actress captioned her post, "We got married in a fever."

Mansi got engaged to Levin in June of 2019 and shared the news on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of herself holding her hand over her face with a flashy rock on her ring finger. The caption for the snap read: "About last week..."

Sadly, like millions of couples around the globe, Mansi and Levin were forced to cancel their 2020 wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress shared the sad news in August of last year, writing, "Just weeks away, our wedding is officially canceled. I didn't have the heart to discard our gorgeous... invitations, so my fiancé suggested we still send them, but with a giant 'canceled' stamp. I (obviously) cringed at the suggestion originally but said we'd order the custom stamp 'just to see.'"

The whole ordeal was so disheartening, Mansi shares that she "didn't even remember placing the urgent overnighted order with the first company that came up when I googled 'custom rubber stamps. It's all a blur." In the end, however, the actress discovered that stamping her invitations was cathartic. "It felt exceptionally good," she marveled. "It felt real. I highly recommend it to any... brides facing a pivot [during this trying time]."

Mansi ended her post with a special shout-out to the woman who helped her with her rubber-stamp order. "Sorry about the tears, and thanks for the reminder that I'm 'only human,'" she wrote. "You're right -- it sucks, and we all just have to keep doing our best."

Kate Mansi began her DAYS run in 2011 and played the role until 2016, when she decided to take her career in a different direction. The NBC soap opera chose Marci Miller as a recast for Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer's (Melissa Reeves) daughter, but when Miller unexpectedly vacated the role in 2018, Mansi returned for a brief stint to wrap up the character's storyline.

In 2019, Mansi returned to the role once again, this time for a limited series on the DOOL App that showed Abby and Chad's (Billy Flynn) life in Paris. When the online series ended, Chad and Abby returned to Salem, and Mansi played the character until May of 2020, when she once again decided to leave. In an amusing revolving door situation, DAYS decided yet again to recast the role with Marci Miller, who resumed playing the character of Abigail in mid-2020.

Would you like to leave a congratulatory message for Mansi on her 2020 marriage to Blake Levin?
