Fans of Days of our Lives have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of actress Jackée Harry in her new role as Paulina, and now there's even more to look forward to when she makes her debut: the NBC soap has reportedly cast the character's daughter, as well.
According to Blackfilm, hip hop artist Precious Way has joined DAYS as Paulina's child, Chanel, who will be arriving in Salem at the same time as her mom.
As Soap Central previously reported, Paulina and her daughter are connected to the Carver clan and, as Harry enthusiastically explained, will be involved in "a brand-new storyline with African Americans" that continues DAYS' efforts to be inclusive.
The show hasn't released an exact airdate for the arrival of Paulina and her daughter, but rumor has it fans can look forward to seeing the new family hit the canvas this March.
Precious Way is a hip hop artist whose big break came with her first national single, 2017's Watch Me Go. The Chicago native describes herself as a shy person and says that she began rapping to escape that.
"I am very shy. Sometimes my hands be getting sweaty in the weirdest circumstances, I kid you not," she confessed to 247HH (video below). "But when I started rapping, that was my outlet. That was why I started doing that, because I was able to get off that steam and how I felt, and I wasn't nervous; I wasn't shy. But there are times when I am so shy. Like, you won't hear a word come out of my mouth."
In addition to singing, Way has appeared in TV commercials, done background dancing, and starred in Urban Movie Channel's Partners in Rhyme after winning an American Black Film Festival casting competition.
