Daytime stars far and wide share goodbye messages with Days of our Lives' Kristian Alfonso, who is stepping away from the role of Hope Brady to start the next chapter of her life.

The daytime community is still in shock over the news that Kristian Alfonso will not be returning to Days of our Lives when the NBC soap opera resumes production this September. The actress shared that she is saying goodbye to the role of Hope Brady in order to focus on the next stage of her life. Fans have shared many opinions about this shocking casting development (as seen on Soap Central's Twitter feed), but the consensus from Alfonso's DAYS castmates and other soap opera stars is the same: they're sad to see her go, but supportive of what must have been a very tough decision.
