The revolving door at the Days of our Lives casting department is in full swirl. In addition to nine other stars set to return this spring, soapcentral.com has learned that Arleen Sorkin (Calliope Jones) will be returning as well.
Sorkin originally joined the cast of Days of our Lives in 1984 and remained with the show for six years. Since leaving the show full-time in 1990, the actress has returned as the wild and crazy Calliope Jones on several occasions. Her most recent visit to Salem was in 2006, when Calliope returned to plan Marlena Evans' latest wedding.
While the nature of Sorkin's return remains a mystery, some fans are hoping that Calliope's equally colorful husband, Eugene Bradford (John deLancie), will also be returning.
"Well, they want him back, but he's very busy," Sorkin revealed in an interview with Soap Opera Digest.
Sorkin reported to the set on March 8 and her first airdate has been announced as Wednesday, May 5.
