All My Children's Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) admits being "so shocked" about the fan attention she received after paparazzi snapped her sporting a sexy swimsuit.

All My Children's Erica Kane always knew how to turn heads, and her portrayer, Susan Lucci, has the same skill. The 71-year-old actress rocked a red one-piece swimsuit on the beach in Barbados earlier this year, and the paparazzi snaps that surfaced afterward are a hot topic of conversation.

Lucci, who was reportedly on a romantic Valentine's Day vacation with her husband, Helmut Huber, when the photos were taken in February, visited Australia's Today Extra to dish about the sexy snaps that have garnered an extremely positive response from people all over the world.

"I didn't see it coming. I was shocked," the actress says of people's reaction. "[The public] said really nice things and I thought, 'Let me find these paparazzi and thank them!'"

Fans who follow Lucci aren't surprised that she has such a toned and beautiful body. After all, she's known for being extremely into fitness -- she works out six times per week -- and even launched her own line of athletic wear earlier this year.

"[I feel] as good now as I ever did in my 20s and 30s, maybe even better physically," she says in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar, in which she's featured. "What I've learned is that if you train hard, you can offset some of what you've got going against you."

She continues: "People look at me and say, 'Wow, she doesn't seem old, but she is old. Meanwhile, the reality is if you're strong, you're beautiful, no matter what age you are."
