Former All My Children star Leven Rambin (ex-Lily Montgomery) hit the big time when she was cast in The Hunger Games film franchise and HBO's True Detective, and her next role is just an impressive. The Texas native has been cast as the lead opposite Sex and the City star Chris Noth in Gone, a procedural drama series for NBCUniversal International Studios, Germany's RTL and France's TF1, Deadline reports.
The 12-episode series, slated for a winter 2017-2018 debut, is based on Chelsea Cain's novel One Kick and tells the fictional story of Kit "Kick" Lannigan (Rambin), a survivor of a famous child-abduction case, and Frank Booth (Noth), the FBI agent who came to Kick's rescue. Long after the case, Booth persuades Kick -- who trained in martial arts and firearms after her abduction -- to join a special task force he created dedicated to solving abductions and missing persons cases.
"So honored to take on the role of #KickLannigan," the actress shared on Instagram of landing the exciting character.
Gone was created by Matt Lopez and is the first series to come out of the unique partnership between NBCUniversal International Studios, RTL, and TF1 intended to produce U.S.-style procedural dramas for a global market. RTL and TF1 will broadcast and distribute the show in Germany and France, respectively, while NBCUniversal International Distribution will be responsible for licensing it in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
Rambin starred on AMC from 2004 to 2010. In addition to The Hunger Games and True Detective, she has starred on Grey's Anatomy, Scoundrels, CSI: Miami, and One Tree Hill.
